UOB giving out extra one-off bonus to 6,000 junior employees
This is to help them cope with rising costs of living.
UOB has announced an extra one-off bonus for its junior employees to help them cope with rising costs of living.
The one-off bonus payment will be given to Class II officers and below and is expected to benefit about 6,000 employees across UOB, of which 600 are in Singapore.
“The group is committed to ensuring that the wage structure of its employees is fair and competitive, complemented by a comprehensive range of perks and benefits that are sustainable for the long-term, including enhanced medical support, training programmes and more,” the bank said in a press release.
Banks in Singapore have earlier announced support measures for their junior employees.
Earlier in February, DBS was first to announce that it has set aside S$15m to help about half of its 40,000 headcounts across all its markets.
