Citi names Luke Lu as head of banking in China
He will oversee all of Citi’s business and operations in China.
Citi has appointed Luke Lu as Citi Country Officer (CCO) and head of banking for China.
Lu will also assume the position of president and board director of Citibank (China) Co., Ltd.
In his new roles, Lu will oversee all of Citi’s businesses and operations in China and will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s client relationships and regulatory commitments.
He brings over 25 years of banking experience to the role. He first joined Citi in 2002 in Shanghai and has since held various senior leadership roles across corporate and commercial banking. Most recently, Lu led the corporate banking coverage and the large local corporate client segment.
Lu succeeds Christine Lam, who is retiring from Citi, he reports to Angel Ng, head of Asia North and Australia, cluster and banking.
