Standard Chartered appoints Jeremy Amias as global head of investor coverage
Jeremy joined the bank on March 1 and is based in Hong Kong.
According to a release, Standard Chartered has appointed Jeremy Amias as Global Head of Investor Coverage, a newly created dedicated role demonstrating the Bank’s commitment to growing its investor client franchise.
Jeremy joined the bank on 1 March and reports to Peter Heidinger, Standard Chartered’s Global Head, Financial Institutions Group, Origination and Client Coverage. Jeremy is based in Hong Kong.
Jeremy joins Standard Chartered from commodities brokerage house Marex Spectron where he was CEO for the Asia-Pacific region. He was previously Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities for Citi in Asia and an Executive Board Member of Noble Group before setting up his own boutique fixed-income firm of Amias Berman & Co.
Jeremy will lead the Bank’s Global Investor coverage team in deepening client relationships and providing innovative strategic solutions across the full range of the Bank’s Wholesale Banking business.
