StanChart taps ex-JP Morgan banker as new CIO for North Asia
Cheng was head of Asia Equity Strategy for JP Morgan Private Bank.
Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Raymond Cheng as chief investment officer (CIO), North Asia.
Cheng will be responsible for the CIO office’s coverage and capabilities for the North Asia region and represent the CIO office views to the bank’s affluent clients, Standard Chartered said in a press release.

He will be based in Hong Kong and reports to Steve Brice, group CIO.
Prior to his new role, Cheng was head of Asia Equity Strategy for JP Morgan Private Bank. He also worked as head of research at Bank of Communications, and Bank of China.
