Singlife inks deal with AIC, Homage for long-term care

Singapore is currently facing the challenge of rapid aging.

Singlife has unveiled two collaborations with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and Homage, aimed at assisting customers in navigating the complexities of long-term care.

Singlife has formalised its collaboration with AIC by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Under this MOU, AIC and Singlife will collaborate to boost Singlife-affiliated financial advisers with the knowledge and resources necessary to raise awareness about caregiving.

They will also highlight the various support and services available to both caregivers and care recipients.

Additionally, Singlife employees will actively participate as volunteers in AIC's programs, such as the Silver Generation Ambassador Buddy Programme. This involvement will enable them to connect with seniors in their homes and within community settings.

These partnerships are part of Singlife Care Collab, a health services hub offering Singlife customers and their families access to preventive care, long-term care, and a range of services from healthcare providers.

Singapore is confronting the challenge of rapid ageing, with one in five Singaporeans currently being seniors aged 65 and above. By 2030, this proportion is expected to rise to nearly one in four, making Singapore a "super-aged" society. Consequently, community and aged care have become top priorities in the national healthcare agenda.

To address the growing need for accessible and affordable care, the Ministry of Health and AIC have committed to doubling the number of Active Ageing Centres by 2025.
