ASEAN banks show impressive uptime performance in 2023 – Brankas
The report calls for better customer awareness of disruption and recommends institutions to keep at least a 99% uptime.
Brankas unveiled the Bank Stability Report 2023 ASEAN, offering insights into the uptime performance of major banks in the Philippines and Indonesia, including RCBC, Bank Mandiri, and UnionBank.
The report aims to inform businesses and end-users about the infrastructure reliability of these trusted banks.
Todd Schweitzer, CEO of Brankas, emphasised the critical role of uptime in digital banking and financial stability.

The report highlights RCBC's 98.30% uptime in the Philippines, contrasting UnionBank's 95.98%. In Indonesia, Bank Mandiri and Permata Bank achieved over 99% uptime.
The report suggests improvements in customer awareness of disruptions and recommends banks maintain at least 99% uptime.
It aligns with MAS's requirement for banks to uphold approximately 99.95% uptime yearly, with potential punitive measures for extended disruptions by central banks in the ASEAN region.
