Citi appoints Phillipe Jaccard as head of transaction services for Hong Kong
He will report to Amol Gupte and Weber Lo.
In a statement, Citi announced the appointment of Philippe Jaccard as Country Head of Citi Transaction Services for Hong Kong, reporting to Amol Gupte, CTS Regional Head for Asia Pacific and Weber Lo, CEO and Citi Country Officer Hong Kong
As country head, he will be responsible for the operating performance, building and executing CTS’ growth strategy and ensuring alignment with both its global and domestic businesses to maximize growth.
Citi Transaction Services is a division of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group that offers integrated cash management, trade, and securities and fund services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations around the world. In Asia Pacific, the CTS team provides on-the-ground relationships in 18 markets and end-to-end transaction services capabilities.
Jaccard was most recently CTS Asia Pacific Head of Liquidity and Investments and has been instrumental in managing the liquidity management products strategy and execution for Citi in the region the past few years. During his tenure, he has also successfully developed innovative liquidity structures for Citi’s corporate clients in Asia, doubling the book of operating account deposits.
Jaccard started his career with Citi Singapore in 2000 in a business development role. In 2002, he led Citi’s Treasury Services business before taking up the Head of Liquidity and Investment role in 2007. He joined Citi from Cargill where he has held a variety of positions in North America, Europe and Asia. Jaccard holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
