TaishinPay QR payment now available in South Korea
The Taiwanese digital service also plans to include two-way ATM withdrawal capabilities.
In collaboration with Taishin Bank from Taiwan, GLN International (Global Loyalty Network, GLN) has announced the launch of its QR payment service in South Korea.
With the assistance of Taishin Bank's e-wallet service, Taishin Pay, Taiwanese tourists visiting Korea can now easily make QR payments using Taishin Points generated through credit card transactions.
This convenient payment method is available at various prominent local merchants, including duty-free shops, convenience stores, and coffee shops, promoting a cashless transaction.
Moreover, users can benefit from lower transaction fees compared to using overseas credit cards.

Taishin has set its sights on launching a cashback promotion specifically for Taishin Pay customers who visit Korea.
Additionally, there are plans of broadening the selection of preferred travel services by collaborating with a diverse range of Korean merchants and tourist attractions.
GLN, a fintech subsidiary of Hana Bank, has successfully launched the Taishin Pay QR payment service in collaboration with Korean merchants, completing the establishment of a two-way payment service between Korea and Taiwan.
As the next step, GLN aims to expand its services to include two-way ATM withdrawal capabilities.
