UOB (Malaysia) introduces new UOB eAccount
United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd has introduced the new UOB eAccount, an online savings account aimed to provide banking convenience to customers.
Aside from having time-saving online access to their accounts, UOB eAccount holders are entitled to two free Interbank GIRO Fund Transfer transactions per month. Statements are also sent electronically, facilitating the reduction in paper use and mail postage expenses. These savings are translated into higher interest for UOB eAccount holders.
Chan Kok Seong, Director and Chief Executive Officer of UOB (Malaysia), said, "We always keep our customers’ financial needs in mind, as we develop new banking solutions for their convenience. UOB eAccount benefits not only our retail customers, as this will also be the final piece in UOB Payroll Solution jigsaw for our trade/corporate customers. UOB eAccount is ideal in helping companies to manage their respective employee payroll system. They can now opt to open UOB eAccount for their salaries to be credited."
Confident that the UOB eAccount will help bring in 40,000 new-to-bank UOB eAccount holders by year-end, UOB (Malaysia) is looking at approximately $5.5 million of potential deposits.
