BRI's open banking initiative clears $3b of sales in 2020
This marks a 290% annual growth for BRIAPI.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia’s (BRI) open banking initiative BRIAPI cleared more than $3b (IDR43t) of sales in 2020, an announcement read.
Higher sales were recorded across BRIAPI’s open banking network which counts more than 200 partners, including household e-commerce and digital payments names like Shopee, Tokopedia, Go-Pay, OVO, and Traveloka.
This marks a staggering 290% annual growth for BRIAPI and arrives as the group became one of the first open banking players in Southeast Asia to achieve compliance with the global best-practice Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS).
The initiative also received certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO:27001).
